Course Approach
The course is conducted on modern 2-shaft treadle looms that mimic traditional handlooms. These ergonomic looms allow beginners to start weaving quickly while retaining the logic of traditional systems.
The focus is on learning and analysis. Thicker cotton yarns are used to make the process visible and manageable, rather than the finer yarns used for sari weaving.

Hands-on project
Each participant weaves a scarf from start to finish. The project includes yarn selection, warp preparation, loom dressing, and weaving using the techniques covered during the course.
